Who we are
Founded in 1999, Le Vivant is a global non–profit association which creates, develops and supports scientific projects related to the Deep Health of humankind. Deep Health integrates all dimensions of being human – physical, energetic and spiritual, with the environment.
Le Vivant means 'Life" or "The Living" and represents the potential 'aliveness' of humankind which is currently under threat from increasing toxicity in our environment, soils and air. These elements are all essential to our health and to our harmonious existence with the earth.

Chrisopher Wise (President)
Christopher founded a family holding company in 2000 investing in high technology and preventive health. Prior to that, Christopher worked for 8 years at Burberry (New York and Paris) and 10 years at RemyCointreau (Madrid, Vienna and Milan). He was also a board member at both companies. "As President of Le Vivant, I am driven by the desire to promote spiritual values in health- related projects within a professional business environment". Christopher is married , with 6 children and lives in Paris.
Dr Georges Dulaurans, (Vice-President and Medical Advisor)
Dr Georges Dulaurans is a gynecologist-obstetrician and holds a degree from the Faculty of Medicine of Paris. An ex-hospital practitioner, he has always been passionately interested in the fertility of couples and the sciences of Life. He is particularly interested in bio-chemistry, but today his focus is on the development of energy research. Georges is married with 3 children and lives in Paris.
Nicolas Lhoëst (Treasurer and General Secretary)
Nicolas is a lawyer at the Barreau de Bruxelles (Brussels Bar) since 1990. An associate of the law firm Cartuyvels, a group of about twenty lawyers, his preference is for European and international law in public services, social law, real estate law and associative law. Nicolas is also a Deputy Justice of the Peace. "I am passionate about supporting projects concerned with health in which human beings are considered in their physical, psychological and spiritual context". Nicolas is married with 3 children, lives near Brussels and dedicates his free time to the piano.
Claire Laurant (Scientific Advisor)
Claire is an ethnobotanist with a PhD in Anthropology, from Paris III La Sorbonne-Nouvelle. She has dedicated her thesis to therapeutic praxis of traditional midwives from the Central Mexico. This immersion in the autochthonous lore, deemed "empirical", revealed to her a rich knowledge of medicinal herbs, transmitted generation after generation and built upon a modus operandi different from the occidental rationale. It has motivated her to pursue her research with the botanic, pharmacology, and toxicology scientific tools, along with the sensitivity of the approach of herbal therapists. Claire is married with 4 children and lives in Geneva.
